Great Partnership Conference (2004):
A big conference jointly held with the other 3 partner Associations including: British Pakistani, British Indian and the British Sri Lankan Psychiatric Associations). This conference was attended by 450 Psychiatrists from the four partner Associations and was praised by the President of the RoyalCollege of Psychiatrists. The next partnership meeting is provisionally planned for September 2006

International conferences (WPA-Cairo 10-15 September 2005):
BAPA was strongly represented in WPA Cairo 10–15 September 2005 with various presentations including:
a. Symposium on Palestine (Effect of Israeli Occupation on Mental Health of Palestinians and their Healthcare under Israeli Occupation): Chaired by Mamdouh EL-Adl (BAPA secretary). Speakers who participated included:
- Professor Abdel Wahab El Messiri: The Zionist view of the self & of the other.
- Dr Eyad El Sarraj: Effect of Israeli Occupation on Palestinians’ Mental Health.
- Dr Mamdouh EL-Adl: Inequity in Care under Israeli Occupation
- Professor Salah Amer: Responsibilities of the Occupying Power under the International Law.
This symposium was well attended, discussion continued for 2 hours i.e. 1 ½ hours above the original discussion time. The symposium was considered as a great success in presenting a comprehensive presentation about the Palestinian Cause in such a high level international conference.
